I Will Knot

Closing the gap between refugees and their families back home

Problem:

Family ties are being broken by the UK’s unfair restrictions on refugee family reunion, keeping loved ones thousands of miles apart. But the general public are unsure how best to show their support.

Insight:

Ribbons have become a universal symbol of hope.

Solution:

On 31st of January 2020, the day that the UK left the EU, we got the public to petition by tying their signed piece of ribbon to a structure representing the journey from Syria to the UK. They helped symbolically close the gap between families, while pledging to ‘knot’ support the government’s unfair policy.
